Nora Roberts is a bestselling American author who has penned about 150 romance novels.  She writes her “In Death” series under the pseudonym J.D. Robb.  As of 2006, Roberts's novels had spent a combined 660 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller List, including 100 weeks in the number-one spot.  She was the first writer to be inducted into Romance Novels of America Hall of Fame.  Her novels have been published in 35 countries.

Born in Silver Springs, Maryland, Nora Roberts was the only daughter and the youngest of five children.  She lived in a family of avid readers and consequently books were a very important aspect in her life.  In 1968 she married Ronald Aufem-Brinke shortly after graduating from high school and had two sons named Dan and Jason.  In 1985 she married her second husband and now they both reside in Maryland.

Robert B. Parker

Robert B. Parker is an acclaimed American author of detective fiction.  Most of his work concerns aspects about human nature and he often integrates specific details about the Boston metropolitan area.  His most renowned works are the Spenser series.  In the 1980s ABC picked up the rights to the Spenser series and turned it into a television series called Spenser: for Hire.

Robert B. Parker grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts and then went on to attend Colby College.  He married his wife Joan in 1956 and they have two sons.  Robert Parker earned his Ph. D in English literature at Boston University in 1971.  He eventually became a full time professor at Northeastern University.   He and his wife current reside in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Thomas H Cook

Thomas H. Cook is an American crime and mystery writer.  A celebrated author, Cooke has authored over 20 books, winning an Edgar for The Chatham School Affair and receiving six other Edgar nominations. His 2006 novel, Red Leaves, won the Barry Award and was shortlisted for the Anthony Award, CWA, and Duncan Lawrie Dagger.

Cooke was
born in 1947 in Fort Payne, Alabama, and holds graduate degrees from Hunter College and Columbia University. Cook splits time between his home on Cape Cod and an apartment in New York City.
