Chuck Klosterman is a pop culture American Journalist. Klosterman was once a senior writer for Spin magazine and had a column titled “My Back Pages”. In 2006 it was reported that Klosterman left Spin after the magazine was sold. He still regularly contributes as a featured columnist for Esquire magazine. In addition, he has written for GQ, The New York Times Magazine, and The Washington Post. He has authored a number of books including Fargo Rock City: A Heavy Metal Odyssey in Rural North Dakota and Killing Yourself to Live: 85% of a True Story.
Klosterman was raised on a farm in North Dakota. He graduated from the University Of North Dakota in 1994. Following graduation he pursued a career in journalism in Fargo, North Dakota and later became an art critic for the Akron Beacon Journal in Akron, Ohio before moving to New York City in 2002.
