Chuck Palahniuk is an American satirical novelist and freelance journalist. He is best known for his award-winning novel Fight Club which was adapted into a movie starring Edward Norton and Brad Pitt. Some of his other novels include Lullaby, Rant and Choke, have made the New York Times Bestsellers list.
Palahniuk was born on February 21, 1962 in Pasco Washington. He grew up living with his family in a trailer park; however, his parents eventually divorced sending him and his three siblings to live his grandparents. Chuck Palahniuk went on to attend the University of Oregon where he studied journalism. Upon graduation, he wrote for the local newspaper and eventually quit his job to become a full time fiction writer.
