Formerly a journalist at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Andrews is the best-selling author of five books. Andrews' "entertaining and fun" novels have been nominated for numerous awards, including the Edgar, Macavity, and Anthony awards.

A proud "junker", Andrews "claims to know the location of every promising thrift store, flea market and junkpile in the Southeastern United States" and regularly blogs about her junking adventures. She lives in Atlanta with her husband of 30 years and two children.
